According to the official Dreamhost Blog, things did not go according to plan.
I have lodged a support ticket with Dreamhost, but Club Troppo’s intermittent slowness might be related to the overall trouble Dreamhost had with one of their buildings forcing a total shutdown on Monday.
I’ve also asked Dreamhost to check whether we have slowdowns unrelated to the downtime, as we have been (behind the scenes a bit) suffering from a steady drip of minor glitches – plugins failing, some bits not working or going slow etc.
It’s all tremendously embarassing to me personally, as I was the one who recommended Dreamhost to Ken, and I am supposed to be the tech guru who keeps it all going.
