Not all Ukrainians appreciate being reminded of (some) of their ethnic compatriots’ wartime activities. Some even deny them completely (although these tend to operate on the same fringe as Holocaust deniers, and in my experience are quite rare).

Yes it’s a lovely one of him. One from this series by a professional photographer called Heide used to sit around in their house. There are a bunch of them and it’s on the back of ‘The Quest for Grace” – a different one to this, but obviously taken at the same time. It is taken at their fabulous place on the coast called Wapengo to which all and sundry were invited.
