'Theory' can make valuable contributions to left thinking, the work of Katherine Gibson is an example, but Davis always seemed an unreflective radical who simply assumed that radicalism in theory had to support his predictable left politics, I am sure Ryan's Marxism and Deconstruction is well-thumbed on Davis' shelf.
