What’s happened to Missing Link?

Posted by on Monday, June 4, 2007

Well, thanks to some shilly-shallying about by your humble correspondent, it’s been delayed.

Admittedly there are a couple of outstanding bloggy conversations that I want to summarize (and they’re still maturing tastily), but for the most part it’s because both I and some of the other Missing Link crew have got tangled up today. Publication will be held back until tomorrow – please accept our apologies.

I'm looking forward to it—but I can't subscribe to it. Each time I try clicking the 'subscribe' button I'm rewarded with Error 404. I don't know whether it's the fault of mailman or of the form, but whichever, it's not doing its thing.
Sorry, Jacques, I know the sysadmin's lot is not a happy one.
May I recommend the very cool dadamail or the ultra-sweet phplist?

Yair, our subscription list (aka Crikey ripoff) is busted. Jacques is in the middle of moving to Perth and so can't fix it just yet, but we are working on it!

FdG – I was looking at using PHPlist for the next incarnation. Previously it has been Mailman, which while sturdy is fiddly to manage and memory-hungry. Haven't seen Dadamail, I will look into it, thanks for the tip.
