Robert@7, “defenestrating” is something South African coppers used to do with uppity kaffirs back in the glory-days of apartheidt. I think Australian coppers used to do it with drug dealers a bit too, but not as much.

Given the Australian population, I am sure blog readers are predominantly white. There is no question in the AES on skin colour, but blog readers are less likely to have been born in Australia, UK or NZ than the population as a whole (71% vs 85%).

Tim, Id like to take credit for Gummos humour but he wouldnt let me get away with it.

Dunno about that. After all, if I’m prepared to let gilmae cop it for the comments on CL (which I might regard as a perfectly reasonable, and relatively neutral, description of his style) I’m not in much of a position to complain about others taking credit for my occasional flashes of humour now, am I?

I’ll cop to trying to have a (weak) dig back at Gummo after he used my name in vain. Even so, I managed to read Andrew’s last paragraph without reading the first sentence properly. You should have edited the text I gave, since I had clearly misinterpreted a part of the post.
