I've not had this problem - I use FF 3.5.2/WinXP mostly. (And arrived at this article through Google Reader.)

Considering Google's march towards benevolent AI overlord it'll probably soon pop up the message "Didn't you get the hint? Go outside for a walk in the fresh air. OMG look bunnies!".

Thx for the input, but, alas, I use Chrome - love it most of the time. But have checked it on FF and it doesn't work there either.

If drp's experience is any guide, it's probably a Javascript kerfups. Complex javascript code 'freezes' page rendering while it executes. If it's pulling more javascript to be executed and the network stops working, then the page won't finish loading at all.

Occasionally it freezes trying to load an article, but don't think it ever fails to load at the start... Sounds like browser re-install time? (if you have ruled out connection problems).

Not on first load, but every now and then when hitting a folder I hit something similar. Content doesn't load, and you get the yellow loading. It's not connection (well, I don't think it is) as opposed to some sort of GReader bug. It tends to happen more then I'm quickly flicking between folders.
