Season 5 was being shown on Channel Nine at usual inconvenient hours (about one o'clock in the morning) - it is going to eventually be re-broadcasted on its nearly launched digital channel Go. Also The Wire Season 1 will also be replayed every Saturday night at 9:30 Yep for some reason HBO hasn’t bothered releasing Season 5 on DVD (although if you have an internationally compatible DVD player you can pick up the boxed set of all five series).

I have just finished up with Season 4 on DVD and am looking forward to getting ahold of the fifth and final season.
