My most memorable (though not immortalised by twitter) was a reasonbly intelligent woman I once dated who gushed one day:
“Huh? There was an ACTUAL Vietnam War? You mean all those Vietnam War movies were based on a real war?”
There’s plenty of left-wing idiots who still don’t realise that the tens of millions of deaths resulting from Mao’s great leap forward were real.
