It's not often that I agree wholeheartedly with flaming pink blogger Rob Schaap, but I have no hesitation in endorsing just about every word of his fine post on great Aussie blunders (responding to Gummo Trotsky's contest).

Does this mean I'm lurching to the left as I approach 50-ish senility? Not likely.

    "Flaming pink"? But I thought Rob was happily married or something like that... oh, not THAT sort of flaming pink...

    You have to be somewhat to the left to even read Rob's blog without feeling sick.
