Mild-mannered Ozblogger, Tim Blair, reports being driven to drink by Margo’s latest revelation, which is: – ” A growing proportion of the media are behaving as propagandists, not as journalists.”
“‘And Margo would know,” Amanda Meade pointed out succinctly, whilst inducting Margo into The Australian’s Media Diary – ‘Talking Turkey’s Hall of Ignominy’ – accordingly.
Notoriously less succinct Webdiary Braveheart, Jack Robertson, lumbers to Margo’s defence, despite the not inconsiderable disadvantages engendered by a breathtakingly insouciant disregard for bourgeois conventions like logic, coherence and brevity.
It’s a chuckle and a half. I think I’ll have a vodka as well……
I agree with you, Geoff (now there’s a first). Margo is a propagandist.
She should learn to be an objective seeker of truth, like Tim Blair, Piers Ackerman, Paddy McGuiness, Paul “Miracle Water’ Sheahan … all those fine journalists that make the Australian print media what it is today (which is to say, crap).

I kind of like her as a nutty propagandist….it’s just that she’s so emphatically convinced that she’s not.
Which is why I usually don’t read any of them.
We have imported that dreaded US disease of a ‘journalist/columnist’ merely writing propaganda of the party they support.
It is boring and also usually lazily researched.
But she’s always has that happily ‘glazed over’ look.
It’s probably just the water at her place Norm. Maybe she forgot this week’s toilet flush.
