I’ve added a couple more blogs to the Troppo blogroll: Ambit Gambit, a blog associated with Graham Young’s Online Opinion ezine (sorry Gianna), and Andjam. I’ll be keeping a very regular eye on Ambit Gambit, because I have a high regard for Graham Young’s qualities as a political writer and analyst.
I’ve also gone a bit further with the project to add descriptive tags to each of the blogroll links. I’m down to “i” so far. Hover your cursor over each link and have a read (if you use an Internet Explorer browser). The idea is to make the Troppo blogroll as comprehensive as I reasonably can, with accessible descriptions of other blogs so that new readers can (if they want) use our blogroll as a gateway, to help them decide whether a particular blog contains the sort of material they might want to bother reading.
Hi Ken, I love the little pop up thingy that describes each entry in the blog list. Really cool. I must object to the snide remarks regarding my love of the mighty Eels. Being a middle aged white male who is not disabled(apart from most Friday nights), the only claim to “victimhood” that I have is my footy team. Please be kind.
Love your work!
Cheers, Gibbo.
It’s great. I am impressed that you know the trick.
I can’t believe this isn’t part of a default Movable Type installation. It is a useful thing to include, so well done.
I sorry, I cannot help it,
but everytime I see “blogroll”,
my brain tries to read “bogroll”.
Right, well you’ve just lost yourself a reader. Haha.
Ken,your flattery can only win you friends and influence. But my alleged skills at political punditry aside, I predict I will be in trouble with some of my fellow authors of Ambit Gambit if you keep the “centrist” “pro-coalition” tags in the roll-over.
It is true that Jeff Wall shares much of my political views, but the same can’t be said of Darlene Taylor – ALP hackette, UQ student and literary diner – or Gary MacLenin (MacLennan actually, but my version gives you a better flavour of his political allegances).
But we appreciate all the promotion we can get, and have to work out how to put our own blogroll up so we can repay hospitality.
