I have just spent the last hour deleting and rebuilding over 400 spam comments that came in a wave just after midnight. I’m trying to watch the soccer, not hacking away with this blog all night.
But it only took that long because the server was belching under the assault. Once it had a good chunder, I updated the blacklist and deleted them in a set of five cleanup sweeps.
Message to spammers- give it up. I know you’ve automated your spamming procedures. But I’ve automated as well. And I’ve stripped all the HTML out of comments from now on. Your wasting your time.
