Good news everybody!
Israel Kirzner, the leading current exponent of the Austrian school of social and economic thought has won a gong in Sweden. Sweden has an interesting mix of policies, combing free trade and a dynamic, export-oriented private sector with cradle to grave welfare. This is probably due to the influence of the Swede Knut Wicksell who was a champion of the original Austrian, Carl Menger.

Rafe,
I was lead to believe you didn’t believe in anything that came from being born in a menger!
Away in a manger, as full as a tick, young Homer lay sleeping, and played with his prick
His mummy and daddy looked down from above, their faces suffused with devotion and love.
The kettle is boiling, the baby awakes, he opens his mouth and the whole building quakes.
Observing the size of young Homer’s gob, his folks wonder what he might do for a job.
Sword swallower, foghorn, bookmaker’s nark? Orator, stateseman, racecaller at the Park?
Who could have warned them of what lay in store? a stirrer, a punster and media whore.
This should not be regarded as an adverse coment on Homer whose puns are an ornament on many blogs. I will be pleased to consider other suggestions to rhyme with “store” in the last line. I appreciate that Homer is not a media whore but that is what we call poetic licentiousness.
I didn’t know it until I drank moet that Rafe was a poet.
His Rhyme was not mine so I don”t pine.
Where is EP? Not at LP perhaps he is using BP
Now behave chaps. This is a serious blog.
Meisner, Rafe.
