Crikey is a wonderful Australian institution – not least because it nominated Troppo as their blog of 2005!
A sucker for good quality, independent media and flattery like that to boot I was just filling out the on line form inviting me to subscribe when I read that there are bulk discounts.
3-5 annual subscriptions: $70 each save 30% 6-9 annual subscriptions: $60 each save 40% 10-20 annual subscriptions: $50 each save 50% 20-49 annual subscriptions: $40 each save 60% 50+ annual subscriptions: $35 each save 65%
So if we can get 2 or 5 or 9 more people to sign up with me, we can save some money! Please post below and email me on nicholas AT gruen DOT com DOT au if you’re interested. The base price is $100 per year.

Unfortunately Crikey is extremely left-wing in its analysis, which makes it less than desirable in my view.
No thanks, Nicholas.
Yes Yobbo,
Stephen Mayne is disgracefully left wing. Charles Richardson and Christian Kerr too. Then there’s Michael Pascoe.
A little hotbed of socialism really. A cabal. A collective no less. How silly of me.
That reminds me, I really should eat more meat.
Hi Nicholas,
Wondering if you are still bringing people in on the bulk Crikey
subscription? I have been squatting on Crikey since I got back to
Melbourne last September.
Let me know how you want to get the cash.
Warm regards,
Paul

Dear Nick,
I am in – if we can get the price down to $70, or less.
How come so many extremely left-wing types have worked for the Coalition?
I think the answer is that anyone who’s actually a liberal is now considered far-left.
The far left believes in political censorship, and state control of individual behaviour. It is anything but liberal.
Nicholas
I’ll be in as well, which gives us 3 and consequently $70 each. How do you want the money? (small unmarked bills in a brown paper bag or via AWB and a Jordanian front company?)
That was pretty much the plan Ken. But for God’s sake wear dark glasses.
B-)
I’m not sure how far left all of this makes me … but the optimising consumer in me still wants to save money.
I would be in, if not too late?
[…] Following initiatives here, at LP and Catallaxy, we look certain to get at least ten subscriptions, cutting the subscription price by 50% to $50. I’ll try to get this sorted out in the middle of next week. So here’s your L-A-S-T C-H-A-N-C-E. […]
Yikes! That’s what I call auto-trackback spam!
