Missing Link needs a new volunteer. Darlene Taylor has been forced to withdraw from the “Troppo Cabal” due to pressure of other commitments, so we need someone to review and compile the ML arts-related blog category.
The arts category currently consists of 34 blogs and currently contains 80 unread posts (because Darlene didnât get time to review it over the weekend). However, my own experience of reviewing this category is that it doesnât take very much time at all to eliminate most of these posts. Most are very specialist/esoteric and therefore probably not of interest to a general educated audience (although no doubt we should occasionally highlight an exotically esoteric arts post to illustrate the available diversity). My best estimate is that it should take an absolute maximum of 2 hours twice per week to review and compile the arts category.
You don’t need to be very technologically proficient either, because both Google Reader (which we use to identify and scan new blog posts) and the wiki (which we use to compile Missing Link collaboratively) are very easy to use. Moreover I’ll send you an email giving you basic intructions, and Helen “skepticlawyer” Dale or myself can give you telephone support during the learning phase if you need it. Obviously you do need to be someone with a degree of interest in the arts (broadly defined and including TV trivia etc).
