Does anyone else have the problem that their Google reader occasionally just loads up a little more than the Google reader logo and then, while it proudly dispalays a sign against a dull yellow background saying “loading” it does anything but. It just sits there. This has happened intermittendly to me, and I’ve assumed it’s related to a poor connection to the net, but it’s happened consistently – I can’t get on at all now – despite the fact that I think my connection is fine (It is for everything else).
Not on first load, but every now and then when hitting a folder I hit something similar. Content doesn’t load, and you get the yellow loading. It’s not connection (well, I don’t think it is) as opposed to some sort of GReader bug. It tends to happen more then I’m quickly flicking between folders.
Occasionally it freezes trying to load an article, but don’t think it ever fails to load at the start… Sounds like browser re-install time? (if you have ruled out connection problems).
Yep. I had this problem with FF, switched to Chrome and no more problems.
Thx for the input, but, alas, I use Chrome – love it most of the time. But have checked it on FF and it doesn’t work there either.
Correction – it did open in IE. Not FF but IE. Strange but true.
I’ve not had this problem – I use FF 3.5.2/WinXP mostly. (And arrived at this article through Google Reader.)
Considering Google’s march towards benevolent AI overlord it’ll probably soon pop up the message “Didn’t you get the hint? Go outside for a walk in the fresh air. OMG look bunnies!”.
