Is the canonisation of Mother Mary McKillop the last great sacred cow?

Click here if you have 7 spare minutes or so to listen to an excerpt from an ABC Local Radio panel show I usually do on Friday mornings.

Update – Roger from Values Australia has also milked the McKillop cow (though rather less light-heartedly than yours truly) as has Adele Horin in The Age.

Boldly going where no-one else would go Ken. I say we host your show right here, on Troppo. . . .

Ruling out miracles on “Australian Idol God Squad” would unfortunately rule out live testimony from that woman I swear I heard on an ABC radio vox pop who said she had stopped taking her daughter to hospital because she prayed to Mary McKillop instead.

Last great sacred cow? No – merely the latest and greatest.
