Feel free to be offended by the above. I could use the publicity. Have a top Easter everyone.

You'll have to explain what it means/represents!

Um, it's got something to do with the 'holiest time of the year' being seen more as a marketing/bargain hunting opportunity by most...I certainly went bargain hunting on Easter Saturday.

I think I would have let that one go through to the keeper, Colin.

I dare you to do one with Mohammed as the subject.

$100 says that one year from now, Ole Wicking here still hasn't decided that the "other" monotheistic faith is worth poking fun at.

It's a valid point in one sense. However, Wicking isn't poking fun at Christianity at all, at least as I understand his cartoon. He's commenting on the crass commercialism that now swamps Christ's message at both of his church's landmark annual events, Easter and Christmas.

Properly understood, I imagine that any Christian clergy would wholeheartedly endorse Wicking's message.

    That's a fair assessment, Ken.

St Mungo, poking fun at the 'other' religion has crossed my mind. I'm a firm beliver in anything being fair game. However, I prefer to stick with what I know. I know a reasonable amount about Christianity and crass commercialism but my knowledge of Islam is sadly lacking. (Although the Danish cartoon saga has certainly perked my interest.)

Even if I did tackle the subject, actually getting something published in these new and unusual times would be another matter.

Perhaps I'll come up with something for Club Troppo before your deadline expires :)
