Where's Tony? Oh yes he's converted to the dark side.
Isn't it about time for Australia to have its own foreign policy, independent of the US? I assume that's why a majority of Scots now support independence from the rest of Great Britain.
Might be nice to name the cartoonist and the paper you lifted in from.
Credit where it's due.
Thx for the tip Andrew.
It was sent to me and I didn't know if the person who sent it to me wanted to be acknowledged. So I posted it and asked and the person said they were happy with anonymity.
Don't know where it's from. Only that it's funny.
Fair enough. It looked so professional I assumed it was from a paper.
I presume it is from a paper. And from the look of it (particularly the labelling) it looks like an American cartoon. But no idea where.
Found it!
Tom Scott from New Zealand (wikipedia). That signature had me baffled for a while.
Thanks for that - how do you know it's him though?
It's style looks American. The labels and the draftsmanship don't look Australian (and I'm taking a wild guess that NZ cartoonists might have a similar style to Oz ones.)
If an Australian cartoonist were drawing it I think he'd find some pictorial way of representing Australia and the US without the labels (but I agree it's difficult with their heads in the various orifices that they are in.
Americans cartoonists wouldn't be bothering about making jokes about John Howard and they certainly wouldn't assume their readers knew who he was.
I borrowed a friend's enormous V8 car this week because I was concerned my own small vehicle wasn't contributing enough to global warming. We've all got to do what we can to help.
I just thought you were borrowing your friend's journalistic excellence.
The link to the actual cartoon was under the "it" - probably a bit small to see clearly.
So the link is here instead.
Can't see that either.

And Tim, if you weren't blogging at the same time as you were driving, the reduction in hot air output made you at least carbon-neutral for the period of the trip...
