    Damn that looks like histology! Looks like a macro of something, perhaps at 50 to 200 times magnification... but I couldn't think of anything, however prepped, that looks like that (at least in a human, which is the only sort of histol I've done).

    So... when the blurb on the photo source noticed how similar to a histol slide it might be... I wasn't surprised.
