On a slight tangent, but similarly related to affairs of light. I was just reading of an Austrian town near Innsbruck which has decided to use mirrors to deflect sunlight into the town during the seasons when the sun is locked behind the Alps. If this works it should mean that the town will no longer be left in darkness during the winter months. Sounds like a nifty idea to me.

Spectacular. Still doesn’t convince me to live in Iceland though.
