I remember one where in the first panel Clare Martin was lambasting the Commonwealth for planning to site a low-level nuclear waste dump in the NT — state’s rights, the whole bit. In the final panel she’s clutching a piece of paper saying “New Terrorism Laws” and asking “where do I sign?”

Seriously though, Wicking has mastered the essential art of good cartoonists. It’s all in how you draw the eyes and eyebrows reacting to the words.
